Joseph W. McNutt, M.D.

Dr. McNutt was born and raised in Harrison, Arkansas. After attending Harrison High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Arkansas Tech University, as well as earning varsity letters in football and being named outstanding male student. Dr. McNutt received his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1994, and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training in 1999 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Tarrant County Hospital's Residency Program. He completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City in 2000.
Dr. McNutt is board certified in orthopaedic surgery, and is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also holds memberships in the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association. Dr. McNutt provides care for many area athletic teams, including the Lovejoy Independent School District Dr. McNutt specializes in adult and pediatric sports injuries, as well as general orthopaedics. He also has a special interest in cartilage repair and transplantation. Dr. McNutt and his wife, Kim, have four sons: Matthew, Andrew, Nathan and Luke.
